The Euro-Gulf Information Centre is pleased to invite you to the Book Launch of “Siria, Il tormentato cammino verso la pace” to be held on Tuesday, 17 December 2019, from 1030h until 1230h at Via Gregoriana 12, Rome, with the author Marija Chodynskaja Goleniščeva and introduced by Mitchell Belfer, EGIC President.

The book analyses the causes of the Syrian conflict, the US role and the possible evolution of the conflict. It also follows the complex trajectories of Moscow's diplomacy, both on a United Nations' level and bilateral’s. The author has followed, firsthand, the Syrian conflict since its beginning and frequently travels to the country.
Marija Chodynskaja Goleniščeva is a Russian diplomat, analyst, writer and Arabist. She served for seven years as a member of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations and currently follows Middle Eastern issues for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The presentation will be followed by a reception.
